Award-winning
photojournalist Susan E. Bouchard expresses through photography her love
of people and her respect for the stories of their lives. Beginning her
career in photojournalism, she has always been intrigued by the story
behind the story, the feelings that make an image compelling.
She began as an army photojournalist, later becoming
a staff photographer for a large daily newspaper and then as an
assignment photographer for the Associated Press. In 1996, Susan
founded Options Photography with business partner Lynda Read in order to
bring their photojournalistic approach to wedding and event
photography.
Options Photography is a
full-service studio specializing in wedding, portrait and editorial imaging.
Susan most enjoys photographing people being themselves, experiencing
important events in their lives: their wedding day, the birth of a new
baby, and the celebration of family. She has taken her love of
the story and her experience as a photojournalist to portray
people living their lives in the beauty of the moment.
Susan is a member of PPARI, PPANE and
PPA. She has served as the PPARI newsletter editor for two years and is
currently the organization's program chairperson and is
currently serving as the state's representative to the New England board.
