Gary J. Thibeault, PPA Certified, M. Photog. Cr.
Gary Thibeault is co-owner with his wife Sandra of Tebo
Photography in Westerly, RI. The studio specializes in Distinctive
Portraiture of families, children and high school seniors as well as
developed a long list of commercial cliental.
Gary has served on the Board of Directors of the
Professional Photographers Association of New England since 1984 and
served as President in 1999. He is a Past President and serves as
Treasurer of the Professional Photographers Association of Rhode Island.
He is an active member of the Professional Photographers of America,
serves as a National Councilor and the Rhode Island Certified Professional
Photographers Liaison to the Professional Photographers of America.
He is also a member of the Westerly Chamber of Commerce. |
In 2001 he was awarded the PPANE Presidents Award
for outstanding service to the field of photography as well as recipient
of the "Rudy" Graziani Memorial Service Award in 1991. A
PPARI member since 1978, PPANE member since 1984 and a PPA member since
1978. Gary was honored by PPARI in 1995 and PPANE in 2001 with the
PPA
National Award. He was honored with the PPARI Presidents Award
in 2002 from then President Karen Bernard and in 2006 from then
President Paul Vicario.
In 1988 Gary earned the degree of Certified Professional
Photographer and in July of 1996 was awarded his Photographic Craftsmans
Degree by the Professional Photographers Association of America in Orlando
Florida. In July of 1997 in Las Vegas he received his Masters Degree in
Photography. He is one of only two Rhode Island photographers to hold all
three degrees. Gary has also received numerous state, regional, and
national awards for his creative and distinctive photography,
including the prestigious Kodak Gallery and Fuji Masterpiece Award for
photographic excellence.
Since 1999 Gary has worked as Trustee for the New England
Institute of Professional Photography as well as attended the school every
year since 1982.
Gary has been in demand to conduct programs at many
state, regional and national conventions, workshops, and monthly
meetings. In addition, he has served as a Print Judge for many state
conventions. This honor is given only to those photographers that
have continually maintained a level of technical, artistic, and
traditional expertise. For this, Gary has been recognized as one of
the top photographers in the field of professional photography. |
